Halloween!!
Time to get ready for Halloween!! My kids have been talking about Halloween and the costumes they want since July and now the week is finally here to decorate and buy costumes. I love Halloween, I think its such a fun holiday especially with young children. We are going to buy costumes this weekend which should be fun with 3 1/2 year old twins and a 22 month old. They are changing their minds every week, my daughter wants to be Snow White, Dora, and Belle from Beauty and the Beast. My son wants to be the Incredible Hulk, and Spiderman. (should be interesting). We are also going to be baking Halloween related desserts, I saw cute cupcakes with Halloween themed frosting at Publix. My favorite thing is carving pumpkins..the kids help clean it out and we bake the pumpkin seeds, then I carve it into something cool. We are going to have a very fun and eventful weekend..cant wait!!

Halloween is my favorite holiday.... My freind gave me a great idea about a snack for the kids.. You take a fudge strip cookie and turn in over so that the chocolate stripe side is down, then you take a little orange icing from a tube and fill the hole with that and place a hersheys kiss on top of that.. looks like a witches hat... we make a little bow too.. Very cute!! the kids can make them too... I can't wait either!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea, I will have to try it out with the kids. We always make special treats for all the holidays. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Meghan,
ReplyDeleteIs it really that time??!! I love halloween too. My son and his roomies are making cardboard cars to be Mario Brothers. They wear them along with the appropriate costumes.
I guess downtown Waikiki is wild on Halloween. I will be in Memphis, as I was last year. I loved going to the kids' party with my six year old granddaughter and then trick or treating with the kids. Then I baby-sat her and three friends while their Moms went out to an adult party.
We made chocolate covered banana pops in the freezer!
Thanks for the cookie idea. We may have to do that.
