Best place to move

So we have been trying to decide if we want to move again and where would be the better place for us and our children.  I have grown up in Naples, FL beautiful place to live with beautiful beaches.  The only problem is my boyfriend is in the restaurant industry and Naples is very seasonal.  Restaurants in the summer are very slow until about November when all of the tourists come down.  Summers are rough because hours get cut and work and it can be rough financially.  My boyfriend has been in Orlando about 3 hours away looking for a job for the past month and has found nothing, I have been staying in Cape Coral with my parents till he gets back this weekend.  So the question is where is going to be the most beneficial place for us and our children? I love Naples but it is very pricey to live there.  So we may just go back to our house in Naples and see what happens when the restaurant industry picks up.  I am glad my children are young and are not in school yet so we can take this time and figure out the best place to raise them.

  1. Florida is tough economically these days. My daughter survives through the summer. She is a single mother, lives in South Fort Myers, and works in the Cape at the Joint (Cape Harbor). I do not know how she does it. She also attends classes at Edison and is raising a teenager and 8 year old daughters.

    Naples is expensive.

This is a tough decision. I am surprised about the difficulty finding work in Orlando. My ex-son-in-law manages Shoeless Joe's at the Crown Plaza in the Bell Tower. He sometimes hires . . . ????? But I do not know their needs right now.

  2. I love the beach... Florida is my ideal retirement place... I hope things get better for you. Times are tough everywhere and I pray that you end up where it is beneficial for you and your family.
